Small donations can make a difference.
When considering poverty and despair, many people feel helpless but conclude that there is nothing they can do. The scale of poverty is immense and we seem powerless to stop it. Such despair is understandable, but the facts tell a very different story. Our pocket change can be powerful when pooled together.
1 person contributing $15.00/month pays for a 1 hour dance or English lesson.
1 person contributing $30.00/month will feed 5 hungry children a healthy meal which includes a protein.
10 persons contributing $15.00/month will provide a young woman with a sustainable monthly income.
Yes, you can be the difference!
All proceeds and donations go to those in need.
Surveys show that lack of trust is a key reason for not giving .The fear is that donated money will not go directly to those in need and that donations end up being siphoned off by perhaps the unscrupulous or to feed the large salaries of charity directors. It is a valid concern and fear. Soul Dancers is committed to have no payrolls whatsoever for the first 2 years other than the payments made to those we are trying to help.
Giving is good for the soul.
Harvard Business School study suggests that giving to others is directly correlated with an increased sense of happiness. The Harvard researchers write: "Happier people give more and giving makes people happier, such that happiness and giving may operate in a positive feedback loop." With this fact, why not teach our children the gift of giving and help them pave the way for a better tomorrow?
Giving starts with a passionate heart.
Good or bad luck is the only difference between the poor and those of us who live in more affluent countries. Despite the wonderful stories of the disadvantaged transcending their horrific life situations, it still remains a fact that the only difference between us and them is that they were born in a different country and different myriad of circumstances. When we realize that we are the lucky ones, then perhaps our hears will become more compassionate and willing to help those less fortunate. Remember that 2.4 billion people live on less than $2.00/day.
Donations are tax-deductible.
Okay so perhaps we didn’t touch your soul but it is important to let you know that Soul Dancers is a registered non-profit charity and that your donation is
