It Was a Very Happy Holiday

The holiday season was a busy one as per usual at Soul Dancers, as we were spreading love and spreading joy to the children that need it most!

It’s easy to get lost in the magic of the holidays living here in North America – however, we must remember the Christmas season is about more than Santa, gifts and Christmas movies. It's important to develop a philanthropic mindset while cultivating an attitude of gratitude. Some children aren’t so lucky – they’re unable to see their families, won’t receive any gifts or large fancy meals, and don’t have a chance to sit on Santa’s knee.

With this in mind, we wanted to bring smiles to the children at each of the foundations Soul Dancers supports through eight different organizations in Colombia.

As our readers know, we rely heavily on the donations from our supporters and from the proceeds of our official Soul Dancers apparel to help provide Dance lessons, English reading and writing lessons, healthy meals, and transportation for the kids. This year though, your generous donations also went towards the purchase of toys and small gifts that were given to the children throughout the week of Christmas.

Not only toys were delivered however, in addition, Limelight Teamwear donated some amazing practice wear as a surprise for the kids.

The priceless look on their faces when these presents and jackets were delivered was the best possible gift we could have received - to bring joy to those who otherwise wouldn't have very much of a 'happy holiday' at all.

We wanted to share some of the photos from our holiday initiatives below, spending time with the children and delivering their goodies.

"It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”
